Cambridge Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Second Street. As a result of this stop, a resident of Weston will be summoned to the Cambridge District Court for Unlicensed Operation for operating a vehicle with an expired driver’s license on a public way and Unregistered Motor Vehicle for operating a vehicle registered to him with an expired registration on a public way.

An Officer observed a vehicle at Mass. Ave and Rindge Ave stopped at the traffic light southbound and the operator typing on her cellular device. As the light turned green, the operator continued to type and drive southbound on Mass. Ave. The vehicle was stopped at Mass. Ave. and Porter Street where a resident of Somerville was identified as the operator of the vehicle. His right to operate a motor vehicle in the Commonwealth had been suspended and he was summoned to court for using an electronic device while operating a motor vehicle, operating after suspension, and not having a license in possession.

Archiel Grdzelishvili, 43, New York, NY, was placed under arrest for Possession/Use of a False/Stolen RMV Documentand Possession of Tools with Intent for Identity Fraud. Grdzelishvili entered a bank at Brattle Square in an attempt to obtain multiple bank statements for multiple accounts. Upon providing a Connecticut Driver’s License with another name, a bank employee was alerted by the computer system that this person may be using a fraudulent name and bank employees were able to call the Cambridge Police. The defendant would not provide any personal information when speaking to Cambridge Police Officers. Through an investigation with multiple officers and detectives, Officers were able to determine that the defendant was not the identity of the individual on the Connecticut Driver’s License.
