Cambridge Police placed Jorge Montenegro, 33, 474 Talbot Avenue in Boston, under arrest for a warrant out of Roxbury District Court for larceny from a building. Montenegro was shoplifting from a store in Central Square and was stopped shortly by police two blocks away.

Cambridge Police was dispatched by the Emergency Communications Department to Mass Ave and Holyoke St. for a motor vehicle that had to be towed. The registration status showed that the vehicle was also revoked for insurance. As a result of this, a resident of Chelsea was issued a criminal application for Operating a Motor Vehicle after Registration Revoked/Suspended.

MONSIGNOR OBRIEN HWY
Cambridge Police responded to a Monsignor O'Brien Highway hotel for the report of past attempted fraudulent activity. Hotel personnel were in possession of two packages that an unknown male attempted to recover after they were delivered, via UPS, to the front desk for a potential guest. The room reservation was subsequently cancelled after the delivery was made. The unknown male was attempting to recover the packages. The hotel personnel stated they have had several attempts like this made over the past few years and are aware of the scheme. As a result, they denied the males attempt to recover the deliveries, stating they required the guest to recover the packages in person and with identification. When notified of this, the unknown male exited the hotel and has not returned. No one has returned to recover the deliveries. As a result, I responded and took possession of the deliveries, which upon opening, revealed three iPhone Max Pro 13s.

MASSACHUSETTS AVE
Cambridge Police responded to the 0-100 block of Massachusetts Ave for a report of a person lighting a pile of leaves on a bench on fire. The fire had dissipated once officers arrived. After an investigation, a Boston man was sent to a hospital voluntarily via ambulance for a psychological evaluation.
