BROOKLINE ST
Cambridge Police observed a motor vehicle commit a civil motor vehicle infraction on the corner of Franklin Street and Pearl Street. A motor vehicle stop was conducted on the corner of Franklin Street and Brookline Street. During the motor vehicle stop, it was noticed the odor of an alcoholic beverage on coming from the driver’s breath, his eyes were glassy, and his speech was slurred. He admitted to Officers on scene that he had consumed multiple alcoholic beverages before operating his motor vehicle on a public way. The driver was given the opportunity to perform on Standardized Field Sobriety Tests (SFSTs). As a result of the investigation, it was apparent that the driver was intoxicated and was placed under arrest by the Cambridge Police for Operating Under the Influence of Liquor. John Kelley, 32, 69 Garfield Avenue in Norwood, was charged with a single count of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of liquor and cited for failure to stop for going through a stop sign.

Cambridge Police responded to a motor vehicle crash involving two vehicles on the 1000 block of Cambridge Street. The responding officers later discovered that a pedestrian was in the crosswalk crossing Windsor Street ran to avoid getting hit but fell on the ground and got injured. The pedestrian and one operator were transported to a local hospital for further evaluations.

Cambridge Police responded to the 100 block of Brattle Street for a report of a breaking and entering in progress. Upon an investigation it was found that Philippe Rosier, 58, of 80 Fawcett Street in Cambridge, had entered a dwelling at night time through an unlocked rear door while the family slept. Rosier was found inside the dwelling by the homeowner, who had returned from a function. Rosier will be charged with Unarmed Burglary.
