A resident of Hamlin Street reports that sometime between 3/4/23 at approximately 3 p.m. and 3/5/23 at 9:30 a.m. their motor vehicle was struck while parked outside their residence. The operator of the suspect vehicle fled the scene of the crash without stopping to identify themselves.

Cambridge Police responded to a local hospital for a reported disturbance. After arriving on scene and making contact with all involved parties, it was determined that multiple hospital staff were required to restrain a combative and violent psychiatric patient. Specifically, four hospital employees were assaulted, with one suffering injury.

COLUMBIA ST
Cambridge Police observed a motor vehicle fail to stop for a red light at the intersection of Massachusetts Avenue and Sidney Street Extension. A motor vehicle stop was performed. The operator and sole occupant of the vehicle was found to not have a valid license. Due to the location of the vehicle and no licensed operators present to take custody of the vehicle, the vehicle was towed. During an inventory search of the vehicle in preparation for the tow, ammunition and spent shell casings were located in the vehicle. The operator did not have a valid license to carry or firearm identification card. A resident of Brockton will be summoned for a Red Light Violation, Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle, and Unlawful Possession of Ammunition without a LTC/FID card.

A Columbian citizen reported an incident regarding credit card fraud on March 6, 2023 at approximately 4:40 p.m. The victim lost his wallet in Harvard Square on March 4, 2023 sometime around 10 p.m. A suspect found it and then used a credit card to make purchases in excess of $400.

The operator of the motor vehicle was observed operating in the area of Massachusetts Avenue and Somerville Avenue, a public way in the city of Cambridge with an expired Massachusetts registration. The operator was cited for operating a motor vehicle after suspension as well as operating a motor vehicle with an expired registration.

WHITE ST
Following a disturbance at a Porter Square restaurant, Lorna Celestin, 56, 82 Union Street in Randolph, was placed under arrest for Assault with a Dangerous Weapon. An employee of a restaurant contacted Cambridge Police for assistance after Celestin threw a cup of hot tea water up her arm after the victim asked her to leave the establishment. The victim denied medical attention but had visible water marks on her sleeve and redness from her arm. Given the temperature of the tea water, it is likely that the victim would have sustained more serious injuries had they not been wearing layered clothing.
