Cambridge Police responded to Cambridgeside Place for a report of an assault in progress. On arrival officers were met by Galleria Mall Security Officers who had the suspect detained. After an investigation, it was learned that the suspect had stolen items from a Mall Vendor and when security had confronted him, he had struck the security guards with a closed fist to escape. As a result, Bryant Bryant, 46, of 163 Washington Street in Boston, was placed under arrest and is being charged with Unarmed Robbery; Assault and Battery; and Shoplifting by Asportation.

Officers in Harvard Square were approached by a woman who only identified herself as a resident of Mason Street. She expressed her disgust for the encampment at Brattle Square. Said individual requested that unhoused individuals be moved out of Brattle Square. Officers observed 10 unhoused individuals who were shouting at one another in an aggressive manner, smoking marijuana, and playing music with expletives at a loud volume and one empty bottle of alcohol. Officers engaged in a lengthy conversation with the reporting parties and advised them of their options moving forward. A report was taken to document the incident.
