Police responded to a business on the 500 block of Massachusetts Avenue for a report of shoplifting where the suspect attempted to steal a pair of pliers. The suspect also had an active warrant out of Haverhill District Court, so officers informed the suspect that they would be summonsed to court.

Police were monitoring a protest on Main Street in Kendall Square around 4 p.m. At one point, a group of approximately 150 protestors blocked the intersection of Main Street and Vassar Street in the middle of rush hour. Officers asked protestors repeatedly to clear the roadway so motor vehicles could pass. Most of the group returned to the sidewalk. Noah Cohen, 57, of Cambridge, MA, was placed under arrest for resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and interfering with a police officer. William Jones, 28, of Cambridge, MA, was placed under arrest for resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, and interfering with a police officer. A juvenile was also placed under arrest.
