Police responded to the 1600 block of Massachusetts Avenue for a report of a breaking and entering in progress. Jonathan Sanchez, 49, of Beverly was placed under arrest and is being charged with Unarmed Burglary, Larceny from a Building, and Assault and Battery. Sanchez also had two outstanding warrants out of Lowell District Court.

LAWRENCE ST
Police responded to Magazine Street at Lawrence Street for a motor vehicle crash involving a bicyclist. The driver of the motor vehicle told officers they opened their door slightly and while waiting for the cyclist to pass, the cyclist’s handlebar scraped the door causing the cyclist to fall. A report was taken.
