Officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop at the 0 block of Massachusetts Avenue for a motor vehicle that was speeding and for the driver’s side mirror hanging off the vehicle. The vehicle proceeded through a red light and would not pull over after officers sounded their lights and siren. Jashawn Brassell-Bowen, 28, of Cambridge was placed under arrest for Failure to Stop for Police, Reckless Operation of a MV, Speeding, Failure to Stop/Yield, Operating on a Restricted Way, Equipment Violation, No Inspection Sticker and no license in their possession.

Traffic Enforcement Officers were conducting directed patrols around Third Street and Cambridge Street when they observed a motorcycle pass by them, with neither operator or passenger wearing a DOT certified helmet and failing to display a rear license plate. A traffic stop was conducted. After a brief investigation, it was concluded that the vehicle was not properly registered or insured and the operator did not hold an active driver's license. The operator was summonsed to Cambridge District Court Unlicensed Operation of a MV, Uninsured MV and Motorcycle Equipment Violation.

Police responded to a business on the 500 block of Massachusetts Avenue for a shoplifting incident. The suspect attempted to flee when officers arrived. Gregory Natale, 39, of Boston was placed under arrest for shoplifting by concealment. During the booking process it was discovered that Natale had two outstanding warrants out of Malden and Dedham District Courts.
