Police responded to a business on the 500 block of Massachusetts Avenue for a shoplifting incident. Employes at the store indicated the individual was previously issued a no trespass order from the business. Michael Reardon, 43, of Cambridge, was placed under arrest for Shoplifting by Asportation, Trespassing and Possession of a class B drug.

Police were dispatched to a business on the 600 block of Massachusetts Avenue for a report of a male party causing a disturbance a store. The party was visibly unsteady on his feet, slurring his words, and there was a noticeable odor of alcohol coming from his person. The male party refused to leave the property before being escorted out by police. The individual continued to cause a disturbance to shoppers and passers-by and began making verbal threats to physically harm officers on the scene. As a result of the disorderly behavior, the individual was transported to the hospital to be evaluated. They were summonsed to Cambridge District Court for disorderly conduct and threat to commit a crime.

Police responded to a local facility on the 300 block of Mount Auburn Street for the report of a person with a weapon (scissors). The individual was summonsed to Cambridge District Court for assault with a dangerous weapon.

Police met an individual in Harvard Square to take a report for a bicycle stolen on the 800 block of Somerville Avenue.

ALEWIFE BROOK PKWY

Police began an investigation into a prior larceny at a business on the 200 block of Alewife Brook Parkway. Two suspects were identified from previous shoplifting incidents. James Vaughn, 42, unhoused, was placed under arrest for larceny. Josette Roy, 44, unhoused, was placed under arrest for larceny. Vaughn also has an active warrant out of Boston District Court.
