Police conducted a motor vehicle stop for a headlight violation around Cambridge Street and Fifth Street. Upon further investigation, an Individual was summonsed to Cambridge District Court for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle on a public way, operating a motor vehicle with a broken headlight, and no license in their possession.

MAGAZINE ST
Police responded to the 0 block of Magazine St for a disturbance and gunshot. Patrol Units initially responded to an apartment building on Magazine Street for a report of an argument followed by a gunshot. The reporting party could not provide an apartment number. After an extensive search for a victim or crime scene none was located. After clearing the call, CPD units located a victim in Central Square with a gunshot injury. The adult male, in their 40s from Boston, was alert and conscious when they were transported to an area hospital. The incident is under investigation.

Police responded to a business on the 500 block on Massachusetts Ave for reports of a shoplifting in progress Two parties attempted to leave the store with merchandise with no attempt to pay for them. Both parties were seen on video surveillance by staff conceal two items and walk out with another item in hand with no attempt to pay. Police were already on scene and detained both parties with the stolen merchandise. The merchandise was given back. As a result, both parties will be summonsed to Cambridge District Court.

Perrotta was placed under arrest with shoplifting by asportation.

Police observed two parties using crack cocaine around Massachusetts Ave and Sellers Street. A search of one of the parties involved, yielded a variety of prescription drugs in a pill bottle that had the name of the owner scratched off it. The Individual admitted that the pills were theirs and was not able to provide a prescription for them or the original bottles with their name on them. Given these facts, this individual will be issued a summons to Cambridge District Court for one count of Possession of Class E Drug.

After an investigation, it was discovered that following a verbal altercation, David Lee Rogers Jr, 43, unhoused of Cambridge, brandished a kitchen knife and made threats towards two victims who feared for their life. Rogers was placed under for Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (knife). Rogers also had three active warrants for various charges out of Quincy and Cambridge District Courts.
