Daily Log for March 20, 2025

WARE ST
Police took a report of a crash between a motor vehicle and bicyclist that had occurred on Broadway earlier in the day. The cyclist reported injury but declined to be evaluated by EMS.

WINTER ST
Police took a report for a past larceny on Winter St. Victim stated an E-Bike valued at $1400 was stolen from their driveway overnight.

BIGELOW ST
Police took a report for a past hit & run crash on Bigelow Street. Victim reported their vehicle was struck and damaged while parked unoccupied overnight.

PILGRIM ST
A Cambridge resident reported a past breaking and entering to a motor vehicle while it was parked on Pilgrim Street. Several pairs of sunglasses with a value of $120 were stolen.

JFK ST
A Cambridge resident reported that an unknown male had made a verbal threat to shoot them while they were on JFK Street.

RINDGE AVE
While on patrol, an officer observed a parked vehicle with a visible violation. It was learned that the vehicle had illegally attached plates, it was not registered or insured. The vehicle was towed and the owner, a Revere resident, will be summonsed to Cambridge District Court.

MASSACHUSETTS AVE
Police responded to a business on the 1300 block on Massachusetts Ave for a shoplifting. A store employee reported an individual had taken $179 in merchandise. Officers stopped the male nearby, he was identified and formally trespassed from the store. All the merchandise was recovered.

BRATTLE ST & CHURCH ST
An individual reported that their car was vandalized while parked near the intersection of JFK and Brattle St.

NEW ST
A Cambridge resident reported their motor vehicle had been broken into while parked on New St. overnight. Multiple items valued at $75 were stolen.

JEFFERSON ST
A Cambridge Resident reported a past breaking & entering to their motor vehicle while it was parked on Jefferson St.

SOMERVILLE AVE
Police took a past shoplifting report from a business on the 800 block of Somerville. A store employee reported an unknown individual scanned $597 worth of merchandise at the self checkout register then proceeded to leave the store with the merchandise without paying.

MT AUBURN ST
Police responded to the 100 block on Mount Auburn Street for a motor vehicle crash with injury. A vehicle had crashed into a column inside of a parking garage.

CAMBRIDGE ST
A Cambridge resident reported their vehicle was broken into while parked on the 400 block of Cambridge St. Multiple personal identification documents were stolen.

WATER ST
A Cambridge resident reported their $2000 bicycle was stolen from the parking garage of a building on Water St. at some point between November 2024 and March 2025.

SOMERVILLE AVE
Police responded to a business located on the 800 block of Somerville Ave for a past shoplifting report. A store employee reported an unknown individual entered the store and scanned several items with a value of $54 at self checkout. The individual then left the store with the merchandise without paying.

CAMBRIDGESIDE PL
Police responded to a shoplifting on the 100 block of Cambridgeside Pl. A store employee reported three males had stolen $100 in merchandise.

ALEWIFE BROOK PKWY
Police responded to an Alewife Brook Parkway business for a disturbance. A customer reported a tow service had damaged their vehicle.

HOVEY AVE
A Hovey Ave resident filed a report for a past identity fraud report. The individuals driver's license was used to fraudulently rent a car in another state.

CAMBRIDGE ST
A Cambridge resident reported their vehicle had been broken into while parked on the 400 block of Cambridge St.

THORNDIKE ST
Police took a report of breaking and entering into a motor vehicle on Thorndike St.

BROADWAY
Police took a report for a stolen bicycle on the 300 block of Broadway. The bicycle was valued at $500.

WALKER CT
Police responded to Walker Court for a report of ID Theft. A resident reported they'd been scammed out of an estimated $15,000.

SOMERVILLE AVE
Police responded to a business on the 800 block of Somerville Ave for an unwanted person. A store employee reported an individual, who is known to them from prior incidents as Christopher MacInnes, 42, of Chelsea, had entered the store and stolen $65 in merchandise. Officers located MacInnes nearby, he was subsequently placed under arrest on a charged Shoplifting by Concealing Merchandise - 3rd Offense.
