Police responded to a business on the 800 block of Somerville Avenue for a shoplifting in progress. A store employee reported that an individual had stolen $472 in merchandise before fleeing. An officer located the suspect nearby, they were identified as a Quincy resident. All the merchandise was returned, the suspect was trespassed from the business and will be summonsed to Cambridge District Court on a charge of Shoplifting by Concealing, 3rd Offense. |

Upon arrival, officers were informed by management that the suspect was seen exiting the store with approximately $25 in unpaid merchandise. The suspect, later identified as William Fields, 65, of Cambridge, was located nearby and subsequently placed under arrest for Shoplifting by Asportation, 2nd Offense. |
