2. City Updates (25 min)

• ZWMP consultant is Resource Recycling Systems (RRS).
• How does metal pick-up and TV collection work?
• Curbside Recycling & YW collection (2x per week).
• Public Area waste collection.

3. Discussion of Move-Out and Textiles waste (40 min)

• What can reasonably be done during Move-out?
• Focus on Sept 1 move-out period since it’s highest volume
• Categories of items:
  •  Furniture (lamps, couches, chairs, tables, dressers): Hire company to collect good-condition?
  • Textiles: No change; allow residents to use curbside or drop-off program.
  • Collect Kitchenware (utensils, bowls, cups, plates, etc), small appliances, and packaged food to recycle with Goodwill or give to food pantries
  • RAC sorts items after collection

Committee members are appointed by the City Manager. All meetings are open to the public. Members of the public may speak during the public comment section for up to two minutes. You may also email or mail written comments for inclusion in public comments in lieu of speaking during the meeting. The Committee Chair must grant permission to non-members who request to speak at the meeting.
