There are thirteen (13) active community gardens located throughout the City, serving as areas of beautification, vegetable production, and meeting places. The gardens are divided into plots and shared by groups of residents. The Cambridge Conservation Commission office encourages the formation and continuance of the community gardens.

How to Start

Residents interested in participating in the community gardens program must:

Review the city garden policy

Requirements

  • Applicant must be a Cambridge Resident.
  • Priority for garden use will be given to Cambridge households with no alternative access to land on which to garden.
  • Cambridge residents with disabilities will be given priority for accessible garden plots
