Fulkerson St Pavement Markings
Work anticipated on Thursday, October 20th
Final pavement markings will occur on Fulkerson St. on Thursday, 10/20 to complete the pavement markings on Fulkerson St. and on the multi-use path between Spring and Charles streets.
There will be some symbols placed in the roadway and final markings put on the path.
Fulkerson St Tree Removal & Multiuse Path Paving
Work anticipated Thursday, September 8th through Friday, September 9th
On Thursday, September 8th, the City’s contractor, D’Allessandro Corp, will be on site to remove an approved tree, excavate, and pave the multiuse path on Fulkerson St. between Spring and Charles streets.
This work is anticipated to take 1-2 days to complete, weather permitting.
What to Expect During Work:
- General work hours 7am-4pm
- No Parking signs will be in place. Please check signs for exact dates, times, and locations.
- Sidewalks restrictions will be in place in the work zone.
- Some roadway restrictions may occur, but access will be maintained at all times.

Utility Work to Begin on July 28th
Worked anticipated to take several weeks to complete
Beginning on Thursday, July 28th, Verizon and their contractor, White Mountain, will begin work to remove utility poles on Fulkerson St between Spring and Charles streets.
This work is anticipated to last for several weeks as there multiple steps in the process that require cables to be moved over in stages before the existing poles can be removed.
Once the work is complete, sidewalks in that area will be replaced.

• General work hours 7am-4pm, Monday through Friday.
• Sidewalks restrictions will be in place in the work zone.
• Some roadway restrictions may occur, but access will be maintained at all times.

Line Striping CANCELED for Monday, July 25th
Due to rain and storms forecast to impact the area tonight, the line striping scheduled for Amory, Sherman, and Fulkerson streets has been canceled.
This line striping work has been rescheduled for next Monday, August 1 with a rain date of Tuesday, August 2.
Residents will receive updated notices this week with more information ahead of Monday’s planned work.
We apologize for the inconvenience and are having the “No Parking” signs in these areas updated to reflect these changes.
UPDATE: Line Striping Rescheduled
Amory St., Sherman St., and Fulkerson St. Pavement Markings Rescheduled
Monday, July 25th through Tuesday, July 26th
Due to an unforeseen issue with the City’s line striping contractor, the line striping scheduled to take place Thursday, July 21st on Sherman, Amory, and Fulkerson streets has been rescheduled for Monday, July 25th.
Crews will begin mobilizing at 6pm on Monday, July 25th to install final crosswalk and travel lane pavement markings along Amory Street, Sherman Street (from Walden St. to Garden St.), and Fulkerson Street, and work will conclude at 5am the following morning.
Line striping operations will begin on Amory Street at 6pm, then move on to Sherman Street, and finish with Fulkerson Street.
What to Expect During Line Striping:
• “No Parking” signs will be posted along the affected streets. Please be sure to check posted signs for exact date and times.
• Bright lights will be utilized during this nighttime work. Please be sure to close curtains in your home to minimize disruption to you and your family.
• Noise generated from this work will be produced by the sprayer from the painting equipment and is relatively quiet.

Roadway Enhancement Operations - May 26, 2016
Full depth roadway reconstruction to begin on Tuesday, May 31st
Beginning on Tuesday, May 31st, crews will perform full-depth reconstruction of the roadway on Fulkerson Street between Charles and Spring streets.
After the grinding operations took place, it was determined that crews would engage in full-depth reconstruction to ensure that roadway conditions will be favorable for many years to come.
We kindly ask that motorists drive through the construction zone slowly outside of general working hours.
Fine grading of the roadway is scheduled for Thursday, June 2nd and base paving is anticipated to occur either Friday, June 3rd or during the week of June 6th.
What to Expect during Roadway Reconstruction:
- General work hours 7am-4pm, Monday through Friday.
- Street will be closed to through traffic during general work hours.
- Access will be maintained for abutters.
- The contractor and resident engineers will work with local businesses to minimize any disruption to local deliveries.

Fulkerson Street between Cambridge Street to Spring Street
The City’s contractor, D’Allessandro Construction, will perform roadway paving on Fulkerson Street on Thursday September 10, 2015. Work hours will be 7 AM to 4:00 PM, and we expect the road work to take one day to complete.
Vehicle access in and out of properties will be limited during work hours while crews perform the roadway paving. This operation will also cause traffic disruption. Please plan vehicle trips accordingly.
