Pruning of Scholar Trees

caution sign The information on this page may be outdated as it was published 6 years ago.

Rejuvenation Pruning of the Scholar Trees at Cambridge Common - The scholar trees around the Lincoln monument at the Cambridge Common are in various states of decline. The Forestry Division plans to remove the deadwood from them and see how they respond to the pruning. Please be aware, some of the trees may not look their best during this process, but we are hoping the pruning allows them to fill in over time.

If you have any questions, please contact David Lefcourt, City Arborist/Tree Warden at 617-349-6433 or dlefcourt@cambridgema.gov.
