City of Cambridge offices will be closed on Thursday, November 26 and Friday, November 27 in observance of the Thanksgiving Holiday. Payments will not be required at City of Cambridge parking meters and parking meter pay stations on Thanksgiving Day only, Thursday, November 26.
Contactless holds pickup and phone service for Cambridge Public Library locations will end on Wednesday, November 25 at 5 p.m. and remain closed November 26 and 27. Contactless holds pickup and phone service at the Main Library will resume on Saturday, November 28, from 10 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. The Main Library outside book drop will be open for returns. There will be no curbside collection of trash, recycling, compost and yard waste, and no street cleaning on Thursday, November 26 only. Curbside collection will resume on Friday, November 27 and will be one day behind schedule. Street Cleaning normally scheduled for the fourth Thursday on the odd side of District K will be posted and swept on Monday, November 30. The Recycling Drop Off Center at 147 Hampshire Street will be open on Saturday, November 28, from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
The Cambridge Cemetery at 76 Coolidge Avenue will have the gates open from 7 a.m. - 5 p.m. on Nov. 26-27, however, the Cemetery Administrative Office will be closed both days.
