City of Cambridge offices, libraries, and senior centers will be closed on Monday, January 15, 2024 in observance of the Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday, and payments will not be required at City of Cambridge parking meter and pay stations. The Cambridge Cemetery at 76 Coolidge Avenue will have the gates open from 7 a.m.- 5 p.m., though the administrative office will be closed.
Curbside collection of recycling, compost, and trash will be suspended on the holiday and one day behind schedule for the rest of that week. As a reminder, yard waste pick-up and street cleaning ended on December 29 and will resume in April 2024.
Curbside collection of un-decorated Christmas trees will occur January 2-12, 2024 on your regular pick-up day. Decorations and stands must be removed and trees should not be in a plastic bag. Residents can also bring bare trees to the Cambridge Recycling Center during open hours, Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 4 - 7:30 p.m. and Saturdays, from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Curbside collection schedule and routes can be found at CambridgeMA.gov/recycle.
