City Offices Closed for Juneteenth Holiday on Wednesday, June 19

Juneteenth 2022
City of Cambridge offices, libraries, and senior centers will be closed on Wednesday, June 19 in observance of Juneteenth. Payments will not be required at parking meters and parking pay stations. The offices at Cambridge Cemetery, 76 Coolidge Avenue, will be closed on the holiday, however, the gates will be open from 7 a.m. - 7 p.m.

Curbside collection of trash, recycling, compost, and yard waste will be one day behind schedule for the remainder of the week. Street cleaning that normally would have occurred on Wednesday, June 19, was previously swept on May 30.

Reminders related to waste collection are available by text message, email, or app notifications by downloading the “Zero Waste Cambridge” app for iPhone/Android. Register for reminders about street cleaning and other city services, and sign up for city newsletters (including the Daily Update) at Cambridgema.gov/Subscribe.

The 3rd Annual Juneteenth Parade and Celebration will take place on Wednesday, June 19 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The parade procession will start at Cambridge City Hall and proceed through Pleasant Street and Western Avenue before concluding at Riverside Press Park. Please expect traffic impacts and brief road closures along the parade route.
