The city’s contractor, Mattuchio Construction, will perform sewer replacement work on Green Street between Pleasant Street and Sellers Street which is anticipated to begin on or about Wednesday, September 28.
This work is anticipated to take 2 weeks to complete.
Work hours will be 7am-4pm, Monday-Friday. During work hours, Green Street between Pleasant and Sellers streets will be closed to traffic. Access will be maintained for Post Office vehicles and there will be limited access to the rear of the Cambridge Senior Center. Post Office vehicles should enter from Pleasant St.
What to Expect During Construction:
- Work hours are expected to be 7 AM to 4 PM, Monday through Friday.
- This section of Green Street will be closed to through traffic. Please seek alternate routes.
- “No Parking” signs will be posted; please be sure to check dates/times.
- Police officers will be on site to assist with vehicle traffic and pedestrians.
- Pedestrian access and access into properties will be maintained at all times, but may be restricted in certain ways.
- For local traffic, all businesses will remain open to patrons. Some parking in the immediate area will be restricted. Please look for “No Parking” signs, and ask police details or construction personnel if you are unsure.
- Emergency vehicles will have access at all times and all city services will continue.
