City of Cambridge Thanksgiving Day Holiday Closures and Service Information
Cambridge, MA Nov. 13, 2018 -- City of Cambridge offices, including library branches and senior centers, will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 22 and Friday, Nov. 23 in observance of the Thanksgiving Holiday and there will be no curbside collection of trash, recycling, compost, and yard waste, and no street cleaning on Thursday, Nov. 22 only. Street Cleaning for the odd side of District K will be posted and swept on Thursday, Nov. 29. Curbside collection will resume on Friday and will be one day behind schedule for the rest of that week.
Parking meter payment will not be required on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 22, but will be required on both Friday Nov. 23, and Saturday, Nov. 24.
The Recycling Drop Off Center at 147 Hampshire St. will be closed on Thanksgiving, but will be open with regular hours on Saturday, Nov. 25, from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
The Cambridge Cemetery at 76 Coolidge Ave. will have the gates open from 7 a.m. until dusk on Nov. 22-23, however, the Cemetery Administrative Office will be closed both days.
Cambridge Public Library locations will be open their regular hours on Saturday, Nov. 24 and Sunday, Nov. 25.
Cambridge senior centers will remain closed on Saturday, Nov. 24.
