In association with the City of Cambridge, DivcoWest, the developer for Cambridge Crossing, will be installing storm drain pipes and structures at Cardinal Medeiros Avenue and Binney Street. The purpose of this work is to remove stormwater entering the sewer system.
This stormwater removal will improve the capacity of the sewer system in the Cardinal Medeiros Avenue area. Utility work will begin on Wednesday, February 6th and will take approximately 6 weeks to complete.
This work will affect northbound traffic on Cardinal Mederios Avenue between Hampshire Street and Cambridge Street. Northbound traffic on Cardinal Medeiros Avenue will be detoured at Binney Street during working hours. Cardinal Medeiros Avenue will remain open to southbound traffic between Cambridge Street and Hampshire Street. For a map of the detour, please

In the event of a closure of Cardinal Medeiros Avenue., we will coordinate with local residents, businesses and the City to minimize impacts during peak travel times. Police details will be present to help with vehicular traffic.
Disruption to private homeowner’s and businesses’ utilities are not expected during this work.
