New Lease Rent Relief Grant Application Re-Opens for Cambridge Small Businesses

Flyer to announce the last round of the new lease rent relief grant that gives up to $25000 to new, small, for-profit businesses with a new, multi-year lease on a ground floor commercial property

New, small, for-profit businesses in Cambridge are eligible to apply to the last round of the New Lease Rent Relief grant. This grant awards up to $25,000 to help offset the first year of commercial rent costs. This program is being funded with American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds. 

 

The City of Cambridge’s New Lease Rent Relief Grant for small business offers up to $25,000 to new or expanding businesses that are helping to revitalize commercial districts hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic. If you're a local, for-profit, non-chain business with 50 or fewer employees and have a new, multi-year lease for ground floor property signed on or after January 1, 2023, you may be eligible. This grant covers six (6) months of rent up to $25,000.

 

Applications open on Monday, October 7, 2024. The deadline is Monday, October 28, 2024, at 8:00 p.m. for the last round of the New Lease Rent Relief Grant.
