Late Night Service Starts on March 28th on Select Routes Throughout the MBTA System
Beginning March 28, 2014, some MBTA service will have extended hours on Friday and Saturday nights. Rapid Transit—including Red, Orange, Green, Blue, Mattapan and Silver Lines (except SL2)—and Key Bus Routes will have later service. The Key Bus Routes include Routes 1, 15, 22, 23, 28, 32, 39, 57, 66, 71, 73, 77, 111, and 116/117.
Extended service on Friday/Saturday nights will operate for an additional 90 minutes. Last subway trains will depart downtown stations approximately 1:00AM on Sunday through Thursday nights, and approximately 2:30AM on Friday and Saturday nights. See mbta.com for schedule information.
For other bus routes, the last trip on Friday/Saturday night will no longer wait for a particular Rapid Transit connection, but instead will leave at the scheduled time. These bus routes include Routes 9, 10, 11, 16, 24/27, 26, 31, 34, 35, 36, 43, 44, 47, 64, 69, 70, 72, 74, 75, 80, 83, 87, 88, 89, 93, 95, 96, 99, 106, 108, 109, 110, 120, 134, 210, 216, 426, 442, and 713.
