38th Annual Oktoberfest and HONK Parade Traffic and Parking Information
Traffic Notice: Please plan ahead as the 38th Annual Oktoberfest and HONK! Parade will impact traffic and parking on Sunday, October 9th in and around Harvard Square.
Road Closures due to Oktoberfest
As a result of Oktoberfest, there will be a hard shutdown on the following roads beginning at 7 a.m.:
- JFK between Mt. Auburn St. and Mass Ave.,
- Mass Ave S/B between Garden St. and Brattle St.,
- Brattle St. from Mass Ave. to Story St.,
- Mount Auburn @University Road, Palmer St, Church St
- Winthrop St. between JFK and Eliot St.
Roads will re-open beginning at 7 p.m.
Roads effected by HONK! Parade
The HONK! Parade will start in Davis Square at 12 p.m. and it is estimated to arrive in Harvard Square at approximately 2 p.m. It starts on Day Street, It then moves to Elm Street to Beach Street, then on to Massachusetts Ave Eastbound to the Oktoberfest location in the middle of Harvard Square.
