The Community Development Department will hold a public hearing on Thursday, March 28th, from 5:30-6:30 p.m. in preparation of the City’s FY2020 One-Year Action Plan for the utilization of federal funding. This requirement of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) combines the funding applications for the Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG), HOME Program and Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG).

The purpose of the hearing is to solicit public comments on affordable housing, economic development, public services and other community development needs as they relate to low and moderate-income Cambridge residents. The FY2020 One-Year Action Plan is the third year of the FY2016-2020 Five-Year Consolidated Plan and is used to identify present and anticipated needs over the period beginning July 1, 2019 and ending June 30, 2020. The Plan will detail resources, opportunities and community development needs as they relate to the Goals established by the Cambridge City Council.

The public hearing will be held at the City Hall Annex, 344 Broadway 2nd Floor Conference Room. The hearing site is handicap accessible and translation services will be available upon request.

Written comments will be accepted in-person at the hearing, by email, or by mail.
