Harvard Place
In 1999, Cascap, Inc. redeveloped the former Harvard Manor nursing home and converted it to 21 units of assisted living for low-income seniors. Prior to its redevelopment, the nursing home had been vacant for several years and the City took ownership of the property to spur its redevelopment as affordable housing for seniors.
Cascap restored the original 1860s French mansard-style house while adding a large new addition to the rear of the property. All Harvard Place residents have their own kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, and living space, and common areas allow for residents to interact with their neighbors.
