Print Shop Condominiums

125 Harvard St

In 2007, Cascap, Inc. purchased two parcels of land at 125 Harvard Street. The site of a former print shop, the property was vacant and had environmental contamination. With support from the City of Cambridge, Cascap redeveloped the site into 24 units of green affordable homeownership, known as the Print Shop in honor of the historic use of the site.

This modern building on the edge of Kendall Square contains many green features, including a partial green roof and a rooftop solar array. The heating and cooling systems are high-efficiency, and in conjunction with a high level of insulation, reduces the building's energy consumption. In addition, the metal tile exterior is made from recycled materials.

The project contains 14 family-sized units, including six 3-bedroom and eight 2-bedroom units, with an additional ten 1-bedroom units. All units were sold to income-eligible first-time homebuyers. The Print Shop provides the opportunity for 24 households to become Cambridge homeowners in an affordable, sustainable building close to jobs, transportation, and all the amenities the neighborhood has to offer.

Construction was completed in 2009. All units have been sold and occupied. No further updates will be made to this project page.
