September 28, 2017: Binney Street Park and Triangle Park Public Open House
The City of Cambridge, with Stoss Landscape Urbanism, hosted an open house to share designs for two new parks in eastern Cambridge: Binney Street Park and Triangle Park. Construction for these parks is expected to begin in Spring 2018. The open house was held Thursday, September 28, 2017 at the Cambridge Police Station 1st Floor Meeting Room, 6:00-9:00p.m.
Binney Street Park is bound by Binney Street, Galileo Galilei Way, Broadway, and the Grand Junction rail corridor. Binney Street Park will include a segment of the planned Grand Junction Greenway shared use path, a fenced dog run, and a hardscape plaza.
Triangle Park is located between Edwin H. Land Boulevard, First Street and Binney Street. Triangle Park will feature a hardscape plaza with a variety of seating, a passive water plaza feature, landscape planting, and an overlook with a view to the Charles River.
The park designs and refinements have been guided by the Eastern Cambridge/Kendall Open Space Study/Connect Kendall Square Open Space Competition and Framework Plan, and shaped by input from the community.

April 6, 2017: Binney Street Park Open House Discussion
An open house was held to discuss the design of Binney Street Park on Thursday, April 6, 2017 at the Kennedy-Longfellow School Cafeteria, 158 Spring Street, from 7:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
Following previous discussion about proposed uses at new eastern Cambridge open spaces and off leash dog use at Binney Street Park, City staff and Stoss Landscape Urbanism will be conducting an open house to gather input to inform the park design.
November 3, 2016: Public Meeting to View Park Designs
A public meeting to view park designs for Binney Street Park, as well as Triangle Park and Rogers Street Park was held on Thursday, November 3 at the Kennedy-Longfellow School Cafeteria, 158 Spring Street, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Stoss Landscape Urbanism will present designs for Binney Street Park and Triangle Park, based on concepts presented at the June 2016 public meeting.
Michael Van Valkenburgh Associates, Inc. will introduce the Rogers Street Park site, and present initial design concepts.
Light refreshments will be served.

June 16, 2016: Public Meeting to Discuss Initial Concepts
A public meeting was held on June 16, 2016 meeting to discuss initial concepts for Binney Street Park and Triangle Park, guided by the Eastern Cambridge/Kendall Square Open Space Study and Connect Kendall Square Open Space Competition. The City will be working with Stoss Landscape Urbanism on the design of these two parks.
