Centre Street and Dana Street Reconstruction Projects

Centre Street from Dana St. to Hancock St. and Dana Street from Broadway to Mass Ave are scheduled for reconstruction in 2024 as part of the City's Five Year Plan for Sidewalk and Street Reconstruction.

This contract has been awarded to Newport Construction. This contract has 6 streets and construction is anticipated to begin Fall 2024.

Community Meeting Notice: Centre Street and Dana Street Community Meeting Wednesday, November 30th at 6 p.m.

Centre Street from Dana St. to Hancock St. and Dana Street from Broadway to Mass Ave are scheduled for reconstruction in 2022 as part of the City's Five Year Plan for Sidewalk and Street Reconstruction.

The Department of Public Works and the City’s Community Development Department will be hosting a virtual community meeting on Wednesday, November 30th from 6PM-7:30PM to discuss the Centre Street and Dana Street Reconstruction Projects.

At this meeting City Staff will present DRAFT final design plans developed from community feedback and engineering standards. The project is part of the City’s Complete Streets initiative to design and operate streets that are safe for all users including pedestrians, cyclists, motorists and public transit users. We encourage you to attend, as we value the feedback, we receive from Cambridge residents and businesses.

The presentation will be posted to the project page after the meeting on Thursday, November 30th so that residents can submit questions, if they wish. The project page also contains video of previously held community meetings for those interested in viewing prior to this meeting. Questions may also be submitted live during the Q&A portion of the meeting.
