North Point

Located at the easternmost point of the city, close to Charlestown, the West End neighborhood of Boston, and East Somerville, North Point is a revitalizing mixed-use neighborhood transitioning from industrial sites and a former railroad yard. The area is currently being redeveloped for a variety of uses, including large rental and condominium housing developments and the North American headquarters for EF Education and the related Hult International School of Business. People can find a variety of housing options, from lofts to three-bedrooms, in the neighborhood, at locations including the Museum Towers, Avalon North Point, Twenty|20, and the Zinc Buildling. North Point is also known for it's open space connections, which includes DCR's North Point Park (an 8.5 acre park along the Charles River), the privately managed North Point Common, and the the Lynch Family Skatepark, located under the Interstate 93 highway ramps.

The Cambridge Crossing development project, owned by Divco West, includes a 44-acre area at the heart of the district permitted for a 4.4 million square feet mixed-use project. The site is bounded by the Gilmore Bridge, Glassworks Avenue, Monsignor O'Brien Highway, Water Street, and the MBTA's Green Line Extension right-of-way, as well as the Somerville and Boston borders. The project, when complete, will create an entirely new core for the neighborhood and will encompass 2.2 million square feet of commercial/R&D and retail space and an additional 2,400 to 2,700 housing units.
