This contract has been awarded to Newport Construction. This contract has 6 streets and construction is anticipated to begin Fall 2024.

The Department of Public Works and the City’s Community Development Department will be hosting a virtual community meeting on Thursday, November 17th from 6PM-7:30PM to discuss the Montgomery Street Reconstruction Project.

At this meeting City Staff will present DRAFT final design plans developed from community feedback and engineering standards. The project is part of the City’s Complete Streets initiative to design and operate streets that are safe for all users including pedestrians, cyclists, motorists and public transit users. We encourage you to attend, as we value the feedback, we receive from Cambridge residents and businesses.
The presentation will be posted to the project page after the meeting on Thursday, November 17th so that residents can submit questions, if they wish. The project page also contains video of previously held Montgomery Street community meetings for those interested in viewing prior to this meeting.
