22-CityView is responsible for the television and audio production needs related to programming on the City of Cambridge Municipal Channel.

Operating within the Cambridge broadcast footprint, the Channel provides both original and acquired programming drawn from and relating to the City of Cambridge.  22-CityView strives to provide its viewers with a sense of the overall vitality that is associated with the city in the areas of education, culture, arts, health, human services and history.

Tips and FAQs

22-CityView broadcasts live Cambridge City Council meetings at 5:30 p.m. on Mondays. The broadcasts are also repeated on Wednesday evenings at 5:30 p.m. and again at 10 a.m. on Fridays. Archived versions of past Council meetings can be found on the city's Open Meeting Portal.

Closed captioning is provided for City Council and Committee meetings. To turn closed captioning on or off:

  1. Visit the City's live streaming link to watch the public meeting
  2. On the video screen that appears, click the “CC” button in the bottom right of the screen. Select “Off” or “On.”

If you are watching the public meeting from your home, you can also turn on closed captioning through your television.

Public comment for City Council meetings can be provided in person or remotely through Zoom. You need to sign up in order to provide public comment. If you plan to provide public comment without appearing in person, you will need to login to the Zoom meeting. Closed captioning is provided both via the meeting’s live online video feed and on 22-CityView cable TV, which can be viewed simultaneously during public comment via Zoom.
