CLC volunteer

Volunteer at the CLC

Do you want to help CLC students reach their education or career goals? Would you like to connect with new community members? 

Join our team of volunteer tutors and class aides!

  • Class Aides: Support teachers during class time. Depending on the class they may facilitate class discussions, help students in small group activities, provide tech support or work with individuals students.
    • The level of commitment varies from one to three hours per week.
    • Aides can support classes at the CLC's Central Square (5 Western Ave.) or North Cambridge (286 Rindge Ave.) locations. 
  • Tutors: Work with one or two students who need individualized support in math, reading/writing, science or English.
    • Tutors and tutees usually meet weekly for one hour.
    • Tutors can meet with students in-person at the CLC, at a public location in the community, or on Zoom.

All volunteers must attend a training session and be willing to commit to a consistent schedule.
