Job Training Programs at the CLC

The Community Learning Center has 4 job training programs. Each program gives adult learners hands-on professional experience in growing local industries. Participants take non-college credit classes.

Students who finish our job training programs are ready to enter the workforce. They can then pursue a career path that is fulfilling and financially stable. We support participants in career planning and in applying for jobs.

You must have intermediate to advanced-level English to participate in our job training programs. If you are a beginner-level English student, sign up for English classes at CLC to get ready for a job training program in the future. 

 

CNA Training for English Language Learners

This program is for people who want a career in healthcare and are learning English. Participants train to become a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).

CNA Training for Fluent English Speakers

This program is for Cambridge residents who are fluent in English and want a career in healthcare. Participants train to become a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).

Early Childhood Education Career Training Program

This program is for people who want entry-level training to become early childhood educators and prepare to earn their Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential).

Biomedical Careers and IT Careers Programs

This program is for people who want a career in the life science or Information Technology sectors. It is a partnership with Just-A-Start.
