Request an Athletic Field Permit

Permits are required for use of any City of Cambridge athletic field. Fields can be used for a variety of athletic activities, and non-athletic activity requests will also be considered. Priority is given to Cambridge youth organizations and City-sponsored programs.

Mayor Thomas W. Danehy Park is a popular, 50-acre park located in north Cambridge. For more than 30 years, residents and visitors have enjoyed the park’s athletic fields, walking paths, playgrounds, public art, dog park, and community events. Danehy Park also includes the Louis A. DePasquale Playground, the first playground in Cambridge to fully incorporate universal design across play features.

Recreation staff oversee the management and operations of Danehy Park, in coordination with the Department of Public Works, the Community Development Department, and other agencies. We welcome visitors to enjoy the wide range of recreational activities that Danehy Park has to offer!
