Description

On Wednesday, August 23, 2023 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., we will hold a virtual community meeting to discuss theMt Auburn St at Aberdeen Ave Intersection Safety Improvement Project.

The City will make improvements at the intersections of:

  • Mt Auburn Street and Aberdeen Avenue
  • Mt Auburn Street and Homer Avenue

We will also make changes to Mt. Auburn Street between Belmont Street and Brattle Street. These changes include adding turn lanes, improving bike lanes, and extending the current bus lane. This will also reduce travel lanes for vehicles heading west (toward Watertown and Belmont) from two lanes to one.

At the meeting, we will share updates to the design since our Project Open House, held last May at the Collins Library Branch at 64 Aberdeen Ave.

This is not the last chance to hear about the project. We'll host an additional in-person open house on Tuesday, September 12, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Click here to learn more
