    The temporary one-way streets created in East Cambridge in February because of snow impacts will return to their previous two-way traffic pattern as of Wednesday, April 1.
  • Parking Space Saver Removal Operations

    On March 2, 2015, the Department of Public works (DPW) will begin to remove parking “space savers”. This includes any items placed in the roadway to hold an on-street parking spot (ie chairs, toters, barrels, crates). Items will be removed from each neighborhood on its regularly scheduled trash collection day.
  • Discounted Off Street Parking

    Cambridge residents may park at the First Street Parking Garage for a fee of $50 per month December through April.
  • Improved Short-Term Parking Coming to Kendall Square

    Beginning on January 12, 2015, the hours of operation for metered street parking will expand from 6 PM to 8 PM, mirroring the meter operations in Harvard Square. The expanded hours will discourage vehicles from using short-term metered space as overnight parking during peak evening business hours. The hourly rate will remain unchanged.
