Engine 9 placed a new Pump in service

The "new" Engine Company No. 9 apparatus was placed in service on Tuesday, 6 August 2024. This is a 2019 Pierce Enforcer 1250 gpm pump with 500 gallon water tank, (which formerly operated as Engine 5's pump). 

Engine 9 has been faithfully protecting greater West Cambridge from the Lexington Avenue fire house since 1894. (The company was originally established as Chemical Company 2 and later transitioned into Engine Company No. 9.)
