Description
Cambridge Redevelopment Authority (CRA) invites you to a ribbon cutting and open house for the first phase of the Grand Junction Community Path along Galileo Galilei Way, between Main Street and Broadway.
This inaugural section of the path, in Kendall Square, includes new landscaping, seating areas and a children’s play area. The project is jointly funded by the Cambridge Redevelopment Authority (CRA) and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), with construction oversight by the City's Department of Public Works.
In the future, the full Grand Junction shared-use path promises a new route for bicyclists, walkers, joggers, and rollerbladers alike, thereby significantly improving healthy mobility options between Cambridge, Somerville and Boston’s Allston/Back Bay.
