Nineteenth Amendment Centennial Committee Public Meeting/Site Visits

The Nineteenth Amendment Centennial Committee will visit potential sites for the public art that the Committee has been charged to commission. The public art will acknowledge a representative story of the Nineteenth Amendment and highlight the contributions of Cambridge women who fought tirelessly for women’s right to vote.
The Committee will discuss the pros and cons of each space while on site and will receive public comment at each site.
Locations & Schedule:
9:30 a.m. – Meet at Cambridge Public Library/Joan Lorentz Park
9:30-9:45 a.m. – CPL/Joan Lorentz site visit, 449 Broadway, Cambridge, MA
9:45-10:00 a.m. – Travel to North Point Common
10-10:15 a.m.– North Point Common site visit, 30 North Point Blvd., Cambridge, MA
10:15-10:30 a.m. – Travel to Riverside Press Park
10:30-10:45 a.m. – Riverside Press Park site visit, River St. & Memorial Dr.,
10:45-10:50 a.m. – Travel to Norman M. Tubman Square
10:50-11:05 a.m. – Tubman Square site visit, River St. & Pleasant St., Cambridge, MA
11:05-11:15 a.m. – Travel to Cambridge Common
11:15-11:30 a.m. – Cambridge Common site visit, Waterhouse St. & Massachusetts Ave., Cambridge, MA
11:30 a.m. – Depart Cambridge Common; return to any parked vehicles at CPL/Joan Lorentz Park
