Get your flu shot!

The Cambridge Public Health Department strongly recommends that residents get a flu vaccine this season. While a flu vaccine is always good preventative health care, it is especially important this year given the ongoing pandemic. COVID-19 continues to place a significant burden on the health care system. Protecting against illness caused by the flu helps keep everyone of all ages healthy and can help keep people out of the hospital and prevent additional strain on health care providers.

Flu shots are widely available now at pharmacies and primary care offices.

The Cambridge Public Health Department is also holding four public flu clinics for Cambridge residents. Adults and children (6 months or older) are welcome to get a free flu vaccine at one of our clinics:

Don’t have your COVID-19 vaccine yet? Get one at a CPHD flu vaccine clinic.

The Cambridge Public Health Department will be offering free Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines at our four large clinics. This will include first and second doses of the vaccine as well as booster shots. We encourage people who are unvaccinated, especially young people (12 and older), to use this opportunity to get both the flu and COVID-19 vaccines.

It will be helpful to bring your vaccine card so that your second dose or booster dose can be added to it, but the card is not required. You do not need an ID or insurance. (Your vaccinator may choose to look up your vaccine records to confirm the right type of vaccine for your booster.)
