INFORMATION UPDATED FOR 2024 SEASON
Explore options to stay cool this summer by visiting a local pool or enjoying waterplay features in parks around the city:
- Indoor pools at the War Memorial Recreation Center (1640 Cambridge St.) are open year-round. The pool offers Family Swim and Adult Lap Swim. No registration needed.
- Gold Star Mothers Pool, located at 123 Berkshire Street, will be open for the Summer 2024 season Monday, June 24 - Monday, September 2. (view open pool hours). Cambridge residents are invited to enjoy free open swim at the facility, which features two ADA-compliant pools. Have fun and explore aquatics in the Beginner Pool and practice your strokes in the Lap Pool
- Capacity is limited at the pool and filled on a first-come, first-serve basis.
- Gold Star Mothers Pool is fully staffed with certified lifeguards.
- Veterans Memorial Pool, located at 719 Memorial Drive, will be open on Saturday, June 22 - Sunday, August 18. Operated by the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation. (view pool hours and other information)
- Waterplay Features at Parks & Playgrounds across the city are a great way for kids to cool off and have fun! All City Waterplay facilities are free and now open for the summer season. Children of all ages can enjoy waterplay (splash pads, spouts, sprinklers, and more!) at the following Cambridge parks seven days a week:
