After nearly 40 years of service to the City of Cambridge Class 1 Fire Department, Fire Chief Gerry Mahoney retired, effective at 5 p.m. on August 17th.

There was an excellent turnout by friends & family on his last tour of duty. Numerous firefighters, chiefs, friends, family, city officials, and colleagues (both active & retired) from Cambridge and area departments stopped by to wish him well. Nice!

Thank you for your dedication and service!

Stay healthy and stay safe.
