On Thursday May 5, 2022, the City of Cambridge hosted the 2nd annual Cambridge Legacy Business Luncheon to celebrate some of the oldest business in Cambridge as part of National Small Business Week.
Eighteen local businesses, representing a variety of neighborhoods and specialties, were presented with awards recognizing their contribution to Cambridge's retail environment. Each of the businesses have been in operation for over 25 years or more and nominated by a member of the Cambridge community.
Congratulations to the 2022 winners honored at the event:
- Aladdin Auto Service, established in 1933
- Arrow Dry Cleaners established in 1986
- Broadway Bicycle School, established in 1972
- Café Sushi, established in 1984
- Cambridge Brewing Company, established in 1989
- Cambridge Naturals, established in 1974
- Formaggio Kitchen, established in 1978
- Healthworks Fitness, established in 1984
- Hong Kong Restaurant, established in 1954
- India Pavilion, established in 1979
- Jae H. Kim Taekwon-do Cambridge, 1993
- Pemberton Farms, established in 1930
- Teddy’s Shoes, established in 1957
- The Dance Complex, established in 1991
- University Stationery, established in 1941
- Yayla Tribal Rugs, established in 1983
Honorees were chosen according to the Legacy Business Program application and cross-referenced with historical records, state registries, and news articles.
