Applications are now open for a new grant to help Cambridge businesses improve their web presence. Businesses can receive up to $4,000 in relief funds to improve their website, add services like online ordering or booking, and other eligible expenses. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis from January 9, 2023 until August 21, 2024 (or until funds are exhausted) and are available at cambridgema.gov/web-grant.

These grants, funded through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), will provide relief to local, non-franchise businesses heavily impacted by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The goal of the grant is to help small local businesses remain competitive as more customers are ordering goods and services online.

The Small Business E-Commerce grants will be awarded based on criteria which will prioritize businesses with fewer than 25 employees, businesses with no or little online presence, and businesses that have seen a severe decrease in sales from pre-pandemic levels.

For more information about eligibility, exclusions, and the application for these programs, please visit cambridgema.gov/web-grant.

Those with questions or in need of assistance can call 617-349-7223 or email smallbizgrants@cambridgema.gov. Translation and interpretation services are available upon request.
