The City has completed a study of Resident Experiences of Inclusion and Bias in Inclusionary Housing in Cambridge. The City partnered with the National Institute on Mixed-Income Communities (NIMC) to conduct this study about the experiences of Cambridge residents living in inclusionary rental and ownership housing.

Through confidential phone surveys, hundreds of Cambridge tenants and homeowners shared their perceptions of their buildings and communities. The survey included both tenants and homeowners in Inclusionary Housing, affordable housing owned by non-profit housing providers, and market-rate housing in buildings with Inclusionary Housing. The NIMC team analyzed data to provide a picture of resident experience and to also provide recommendations to help improve resident experience in Inclusionary Housing.
