Cambridge Fire placed 3 electric vehicles in service

The Cambridge Fire Department recently placed three electric vehicles in service!
Two fully-electric 2022 All Wheel Drive Ford F150 Lightnings have been assigned to the Special Ops and Safety Division for emergency Hazmat & Tech Rescue response. These were purchased via a Massachusetts Department of Fire Services HazMat grant.
Additionally a 2022 plug-in hybrid Ford Escape has been assigned to the LEPC/EPAC (Local Emergency Planning Council/Emergency Management & Preparedness) Division. This car was purchased via a Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency (MEMA) program grant.
