On Friday afternnon, June 7th, a "working fire" was ordered for the 3-story, wood frame, multi residence at 119 Pacific St (corner of Brookline St). Arriving with fire & smoke showing, Engine 2 used the deck gun in fast attack mode to knock down the heavy overlapping fire on floor 3 while interior lines were stretched to quickly extinguish the fire. Companies completed searches, ventilated, checked for further extension, & overhauled.
All residents were evacuated safely and no injuries were
reported. Several residents were displaced by the fire. The cause will be under investigation.
Engines 2, 5, 1, & 3; Ladders 1, 2, & 4; Rescue 1; Squads 2, 3, & 4; & Divisions 1 & 2 worked at the fire. Engine 6 was called as the fire detail company.
(Note that at the time of this box, 1st-due Engine 6 & Ladder 3 were tied up at another incident, Box 4532 for a smoke condition at Putnam Gardens, a fire in the kitchen.)

MBTA responded for bus diversion in the area.
