Do you want to prepare for college while earning college credits? The Community Learning Center’s Bridge to College Program prepares adult learners to succeed in college-level courses.
As a Bridge to College student, you will:
- Improve your reading, writing, and math skills
- Develop your computer and study skills
- Earn free college credits for Bunker Hill Community College English courses
- Get help applying for college, financial aid, and scholarships
Bridge to College students must have a high school diploma or high school equivalency degree to be eligible for the program. The program will run from September – June. Classes meet weekly on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:15 – 9:15 p.m. at the Community Learning Center in Central Square. There are also group advising sessions once a month on Thursdays.
"The Bridge to College program made me realize ... that I was confident and ready enough to go back to school,” says program graduate Luis Urbina Henriquez. “My college writing class [during the program] was key for me to decide that I was prepared to take some more intensive courses. The program gave me the information and the tools I needed to design my own journey from the Bridge to College program to Bunker Hill Community College, and then to [a four-year college].”
